
Keala Busse, MPP
Founder & Principal
Keala is the Founder & Principal of RIPE. With a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Chicago, Keala leads RIPE with a deep understanding of evidence-based policymaking.
Keala has worked across government, nonprofit, and private-sector institutions. Her early exposure to policy and politics began in the Phoenix Mayor’s Office and at the U.S. Department of State. She later expanded her professional experience in the private sector through work on complex government affairs and public–private partnerships at McKinsey and Company and Eli Lilly. Prior to founding RIPE, Keala worked with the University of Chicago Medicine, a leading academic medical center, to better understand how rigorous data informs policymaking.
Keala is an activator committed to bringing curiosity, valuable insights, and an analytic mindset to all of RIPE’s work.

Sydney Williams, MPP
Analytics and Strategy Lead
Sydney is the Analytics and Strategy Lead, transforming data into strategy for RIPE.
Sydney has built a career spanning the private and nonprofit sectors, with experience advising clients on strategy at a boutique consulting firm, contributing to global health research at a multinational pharmaceutical company, and supporting emergency financial and health services for musicians across the United States. Sydney enjoys creating data visualizations and helping deliver more of those aha moments for our clients.
Sydney holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Chicago and is an alumna of East Carolina University where she received a bachelor’s in public health and a bachelor’s in nutrition science.
